Quotation from Relativity: The Special and General Theory by Albert Einstein
“we entirely shun the vague word “space,” of which, we must honestly acknowledge, we cannot form the slightest conception”
Relativity: The Special and General Theory, Part I, Section III, trans. Robert W. Lawson
Einstein replaces motion 'in space' with motion relative to a practically rigid body of reference.
