Quotation from In Flanders Fields by John McCrae

“If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.”

John McCrae (spoken by The Dead)

In Flanders Fields, Lines 13-15 (In Flanders Fields and Other Poems (1919))

The closing warning ties the rest of the dead to the faithfulness of the living, and returns the refrain.
