Quotation from The Tyger by William Blake
“When the stars threw down their spears, And water’d heaven with their tears, Did he smile his work to see? Did he who made the Lamb make thee?”
The Tyger, Stanza 5 (Lines 17-20) (Songs of Experience, 1794)
The cosmic stanza links the tiger to the Lamb of Songs of Innocence and asks whether one Creator made both.
